We are seeking someone to help us manage and develop our expanding research programme. Based in south Oxfordshire, the role will ideally suit a recent graduate with a degree in forestry, a related land science subject or genetics. A keen interest in forestry research in general and forest genetics in particular is essential. This full-time position is fully funded for three years, with the possibility of a contract extension depending on available funding.
Future Trees Trust is a charity dedicated to broadleaved tree improvement and the management of forest genetic resources. While we do not directly own any land or research trials, we have many active partnerships with landowners and research organisations. This role will involve the management of many diverse research sites, with the associated travel and occasional overnight stays.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, independent, reliable and trustworthy with a willingness to work unsocial hours during the field season. A full clean driving license and own vehicle is essential.
