About Future Trees Trust

Future Trees Trust is the UK’s only charity solely dedicated to improving broadleaf trees. For over 30 years, we’ve led the way in tree improvement, working with top scientists and forestry experts to create genetically diverse, climate-resilient woodlands.

Including:

  • 30+ research trials across the UK

  • 20+ grafted seed orchards

Why a National Centre?

In 2024, we relocated to the Buscot & Coleshill Estate in Oxfordshire, managed by the National Trust. This move enabled us to launch our National Centre, part of the Estate’s Heritage and Rural Skills Centre, which already attracts over 40,000 visitors annually.

The Centre will be a hub for education, research, and community engagement, showcasing the importance of forestry in tackling climate change and biodiversity loss.
