Louise Gathercole

Louise is the Executive Director for the British Society for Plant Pathology. She was previously the lead for the Centre for Forest Protection, a Defra-funded research collaboration led by Forest Research and RBG Kew. Louise has a PhD in the genomics of British oak trees, giving her a background in broadleaf genetics. Prior to moving into science, Louise worked in the heritage and education sectors and is interested in science communication and interpreting research for a wide audience.
