Help sought for research into Acute Oak Decline as part of the BAC-STOP project.

Forest Research are looking for land managers as participants to interview on their experience with managing oak trees in woodland, parklands, farms and forests. This research is part of a project called BAC-STOP which investigates Oak health and in particular Acute Oak Decline (AOD) (BAC-STOP website).

It also aims to understand more about awareness levels of specific pests and pathogens, influences on management practices and the relationships we have with Oak trees.

The interview will take approximately 45mins and can be conducted by telephone or virtually via MS Teams. No prior knowledge on AOD is required and your oaks do not need to have AOD.

If you’re able to participant please contact Francesca at Francesca.boyd@forestresearch.gov.uk for more information.
